Reproductive Justice
MPV’s Stance on Reproductive Justice
MPV condemns the oppression of all women, particularly oppression in the name of Islam.
We believe that women should be in complete control of their thoughts, expressions, bodies, and sexuality, rather than the current gradient that silences the voices of women and obstructs their right to control and maintain autonomy of their bodies and their sexuality.
We condemn any attack on a woman’s reproductive rights and sexual health and her God-given agency over her own body.
We acknowledge and accept the Quranic mandate that grants women the right to exercise control over their own body and their choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health and we strongly condemn any attempts to restrict these rights.
